Cresta Lodge is a beautifully run care home. Our first impressions were very favorable as this home does not have the unpleasant smell so prevalent at other homes we considered. The Manager and her team deliver excellent care in a very friendly yet professional manner.

Cresta Lodge has a great atmosphere. The staff are extremely caring and the manager and assistant manager do a great job. I have to say a care home has to have great staff which Cresta Lodge has!

Manager and staff have time to talk to residents and the relations. The staff are caring and friendly and all is done to ensure the residents are well cared for. After 6 weeks I have no issues concerning the care of my mother who is suffering from dementia as many of the residents are.

My mother went into this home for a week respite. She was not keen to leave her home but my sister who lives very near her was away on holiday so there was little option. I am pleased to say that she has soon changed her view and thoroughly enjoyed her ‘holiday’ too. We all found the home very welcoming and the staff were excellent making her feel very much at home. The home is excellently managed with a happy and very helpful staff. The home is also very clean.

Cresta Lodge is a marvelous care home, the staff are so caring. The food is excellent and the gardens are wonderful. Mum and dad both say they couldn’t be anywhere better and I agree. I have great peace of mind that mum and dad are being so well looked after.

Cresta Lodge is located on the edge of Poringland with open country views from the large garden. The home is a friendly, homely place with kind and caring staff who go out of their way to make the residents relaxed. Outdoor events are arranged, hairdresser and chiropodist visit regularly.

My mother-in-law was here for over 10 years and now my mother lives here, so I knew this care home and its staff really well. I am so relieved my mum is taken care of so well as was mother-in-law.

My father was a resident at Manor Lodge for almost 3 years. Despite his inevitable decline, staff were always very patient, caring and gentle whatever mood my father happened to be in. Staff were exceptionally helpful whenever I visited and the manageress always made time to discuss any issues I had, offer suggestions and was extremely helpful. I was always consulted regarding any changes to medication / treatment. My father’s care and comfort always came first. Visitors were welcome at any time.

Under the leadership of the Manager, Frances Friday the staff at Manor House have provided care for my 90 year old Mother for the past 15 months. Her room is bright, airy and provides a nice environment. She chooses to have her meals in her room rather than in a communal dining room which is not a problem. If there is something she fancies to eat, it can normally be accommodated. Whenever a visitor arrives, they are made to feel welcome and given refreshments to have with Mum in her room. The staff are always available for me to talk to and to discuss any issues and Frances herself is always up to speed with Mum’s issues and problems. Mum has her hair done each week in the purpose built hair salon and her nails painted by the staff. There are activities ongoing which are optional of course. Finding a care home is no easy matter. I am delighted that Manor House has been able to accommodate Mum.

My mother in law has been a resident in this home for the last 4 months. It is very clean fresh, new looking home, with no unpleasant smells like some. The team of careers when I go in, always are helpful to the residents and very friendly and always patient with every individual’s needs. I could highly recommend to anyone.

My 92 year old sister has been a resident of Manor Farm since April this year (2014). I’m very happy with her treatment, the care is excellent, staff, management and owners have a genuine concern over their residents wellbeing. Every time I visit I’m impressed (twice weekly). I have the highest praise for Manor Farm Care Home.

Even though my mother has only been in here for a few days the staff have made her feel really at home. They are friendly and extremely helpful. My mother is coming on in leaps and bounds already and no longer frets when I have to leave for my own home as she used to do.

The decision to move someone into residential care is difficult and challenging for everyone involved, but we have been reassured by the care and support shown to my father by Frances and her team. The quality and layout of the building is excellent and all the residents are treated with great dignity and respect, and with an approach that meets the needs of the individual.

A delightful new dementia home we were made very welcome by manager and staff. Mum loved all the activities and was encouraged to join in. The home was so comfortable mum thought she was in her own home, the care staff – nothing too much trouble for them, always had a smile for everybody.

My nan was in Manor Lodge for 14 months, during that time she was very well cared for, she enjoyed the food, and within weeks of moving in her general health improved and she looked so well. She enjoyed the many activities and social events, she was fond of all the staff who treated her with dignity and respect.

Putting a loved one into a care home is always daunting, but Dani at the Moorings made us feel that dad would be well looked after. We had every reason to be confident that was so. The carers are endlessly patient. The Moorings is clean and comfortable and the food is generous and varied. My husband and I can drop in whenever we like and we know the residents and carers alike as friends. I can’t recommend the Moorings highly enough.

My friend and I were in the nursing profession until retirement & she has been in the Moorings for nearly 10 years. For the past three she has been bed-ridden, unable to feed herself, speak and is doubly incontinent. The GP sees her regularly and is called out if necessary. All the staff are so friendly & professional & there is such a happy atmosphere, it really is an exceptional nursing home and I can only give them full marks.
